One Web Day 2007

How would you like to change the world in the future? — that’s one of the questions asked by the organizers of One Web Day. I changed this question a little bit, and asked how the Web should change in the future. Short answer: we need better Web navigation, and better online content.

Watch the video, and see what you think — and if you think you could have done better than I did, you’re right, so get out there and make your own online video! New media can change the world — but only if you help create it. (3:03)

Allusions to Hermes and the TARDIS in the same web video.
    Awesome!

Sometimes, I forget how much of a geek you really are.
Keep up the good work, Dan.
And keep challenging the rest of us, too.

Loved it! You are definitely an inspiration to me. I will get some stuff up soon (as in by the end of October). Actually, I might have a little video I can play with already. Hmmmmmm.

I think you and the LH have this in common: he loves technology and thinks it is a great tool for the “common” person to share with other people directly. Less mediation. Less power in the hands of those who “own” mass media.

hafidha sofia — You write: “he loves technology and thinks it is a great tool for the “common” person to share with other people directly. Less mediation. Less power in the hands of those who “own” mass media.”

All that, yes. I’m also aware that the Christian right is already using new media to reach more people, and I don’t see why they should have all the fun.

When you put your video up, would you please let me know via email so I can link to it in a post here?
