It&#8217;s also known as <a href=\"https:\/\/idpwd.org\">International Day of People with Disabilities<\/a> (and I&#8217;m guessing that the discrepancy may be because the original UN resolution wasn&#8217;t in English, so there are translation differences). In the U.S., there&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2022\/12\/02\/a-proclamation-on-international-day-of-persons-with-disabilities-2022\/\">a White House proclamation<\/a>, which reads in part:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we recognize and celebrate the equal rights and dignity of disabled people everywhere and reaffirm our commitment to building a world where people with disabilities are afforded the opportunities, independence, and respect they deserve.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I found out too late to do much about IDPwD this year.
