You&#8217;ll find five of them listed below. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.danielharper.org\/blog\/?p=1565#comment-11355\">Thanks to Melissa<\/a> for this idea.)<\/p>\n<p>The figures in parentheses are the percentage of the popular vote each party will get according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/files\/noneoftheabove\/Poll1one.pdf\">this August 7-10, 2008, poll<\/a>. My cynical summary of the political stances of the candidates, which uses the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicalcompass.org\/\">Political Compass<\/a> scheme, follows the poll numbers. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.politicalcompass.org\/usprimaries2008\">For comparison<\/a>, Obama comes out as mildly right wing and mildly authoritarian, while McCain is right wing and authoritarian.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.baldwin08.com\/\">Chuck Baldwin and Darrell Castle of the Constitution Party<\/a> (0.0%) Right wing and authoritarian.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bobbarr2008.com\/home\/skip\/?s=0618\">Bob Barr and Wayne Root of the Libertarian Party<\/a> (1.2%) Right wing, and mildly authoritarian.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.americasrevival.com\/\">Alan Keyes and [unknown running mate] of America&#8217;s Independent Party<\/a> are on the ballot in three states. (0.7%) Right wing and authoritarian. (Makes C&#8217;thulhu and Shoggoth of the Elder God Party look liberal.)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/votetruth08.com\/\">Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente of the Green Party<\/a> are on the ballot in 32 states. (0.2%) Moderately left wing, mildly libertarian.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.votenader.org\/\">Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez of the Independent Party<\/a> are on the ballot in 45 states. (1.6%)  Moderately left wing, mildly libertarian.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As you&#8217;d expect in American presidential politics, there are no far left candidates, and no extremely libertarian candidates; &#8212; rather, the candidates cluster towards right wing and authoritarian.
