Angela Merkert, district executive of Central Midwest District, came in and led a workshop on systems theory for churches. Gave us lots of good ideas on how the Geneva church could really become a program-size church.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, I ran into A&#8212; as he was leaving the meeting. &#8220;All this church growth is fine,&#8221; he said, &#8220;but people don&#8217;t realize how much fun we had in the old days.&#8221; He&#8217;s got a point.
